How to activate game on steam with preload from D2D:

Find your code by signing into your D2D account.

Unzip your preloaded files.
Copy files into your Program Files --> Steam --> SteamAps --> Common --> Call of duty black ops.

Sign into steam and activate your code by going to your games and clicking add game.

Run the setup from your SteamAps --> Common --> Call of duty black ops using administrator mode (if win 7)

I just hope the game is as good as they are saying, and with dedicated servers the game play should be a lot better with a lot less lag.

all sounds good except for it still being used with good reliable old steam with it's shitty VAC system. So i'm predicting still lots of hackers but if it's dedicated servers can you put punkbuster on it?
If you paid for the server you should be able to do what u like to it right?

Afraid not nemesis.

You have to play threw Steam and Its VAC only. Plus you can only rent servers from Game Servers.
Game Servers has to pay them a percentage for ever server they rent out.

So far all I can find out is on a ranked server, which will be a 16 man server for $14.95 a month, You can only change the map cycle. Not even sure if you have admin control to kick players etc..

They will have unranked servers up to 24 man, Which you will be able to fully control. change weapon setting, custom maps etc..

But with the game being new, mostly all the player are going to want to play on a ranked server to get there points so the can rank up and get better weapons.
